THOR Energy Group (THOR) is
developing technologies and devices that produce clean
renewable energy from ocean currents. Not to be confused
with electricity generated from moving water associated
with tides, waves, rivers or even conventional
hydroelectric facilities, ocean current energy is a
unique, abundant resource found on the outer continental
shelf of the five major continents. In the United States,
the Gulf Stream flows 1,200 near-shore miles up the
Southeastern coast from Miami, Florida to Hatteras, North
Carolina. Since our founding in 2008, we have pending
patents for numerous aspects of THOR's technology, and
received research and development funding from the U.S.
Department of Energy Wind & Water Power Program and
from Vision Energy LLC, an onshore wind power development
company based in Cincinnati, Ohio.
