GL Garrad Hassan
GL Garrad Hassan is the internationally recognized engineering experts in renewable energy. THOR is working with GL Garrad Hassan to systematically assess the best methods and device configurations to optimize the energy conversion process from hydrokinetic moving water into useable electrical power. GL Garrad Hassan has provided a third party independent energy yield assessment of THOR ROCT confirming net capacity factors in excess of 80%.

Florida Atlantic University - Center for Ocean Energy Technology
THOR is in FAU-COET's corporate partnering program and has worked with FAU since 2008. FAU-COET was recently designated the Southeast National Marine Renewable Energy Center by the Department of Energy. The Southeast National Marine Renewable Energy Center is responsible for investigating all aspects of non-wind related ocean energy power generation, including the environmental effects/isses associated witht he deployment of ocean current turbines.

NORTEK, USA
THOR is working with NORTEK on the supply and installation of acoustic Doppler current profilers for THOR's recirculating ocean current flume (ROC-Flume), the world's only open channel recirculating water current flume capable of creating time variant inverse velocity sheer profile water current in the test section that mimics real world ocean current flow behavior.
